The length of therapy is based on individual needs. There may be times when it is helpful to meet more frequently.
The regularity and consistency of appointments has an impact on the breadth and depth of what can be addressed in the therapy.
Sometimes shortterm, time limited work suits specific issues and resources. For depth work, an open ended approach is more appropriate.
Regularly reviewing progress and working toward an ending are important and fruitful parts of the work and something to reflect upon within therapy.

No, you don’t need a GP referral or a Mental Health Care Plan to access Psychotherapy services.
At this time Medicare do not cover Psychotherapy and Counseling services.

Depending on your specific coverage, you may qualify for a rebate from your insurer (Medibank, Bupa, HCF, AHM & ARHG).

Creating a safe space to engage in therapy requires reliability and consistency which is why your appointment time is dedicated just for you.
We also recognise life can be unpredictable, therefore we require 2 business days notice to change or cancel an appointment.
We will make every effort to reschedule but this might not always be possible. Sessions which are missed or cancelled with less than the required notice are chargeable.
If you are late or delayed it will not be possible to extend the session beyond the usual finishing time.

It is not compulsory to prepare ahead of your first session, however these self-reflection questions might help you to clarify your wants and needs:
What would I like to work on?
What is my desired outcome?
What am I prepared to do to achieve these goals?
Do I have any expectations about timelines?
What are the other support structures I have in place?
