Creating a safe space to engage in therapy requires reliability and consistency, which is why your appointment time is dedicated just for you.
I recognise life can be unpredictable, therefore I require 2 business days’ notice to change or cancel an appointment.
Sessions which are missed or cancelled with less than the required notice are chargeable.
-
Please allow at least 2 business days’ notice.
I will make every effort to reschedule but this might not always be possible.
Sessions which are missed or cancelled with less than the required notice are chargeable.
-
If you are late to an appointment, we will still go ahead, however, it will not be possible to extend the session beyond the usual finishing time.
-
The length of therapy is based on individual needs.
The regularity and consistency of appointments has an impact on the breadth and depth of what can be addressed in the therapy.
Sometimes short-term, time-limited work suits specific issues and resources. For depth work, an open-ended approach is more appropriate.
There may be times when it is helpful to meet more frequently.
Regularly reviewing progress and working toward an outcome are important and fruitful parts of the work and something to reflect upon within therapy.
-
You don’t have to prepare ahead of your first session, however, these self-reflection questions might help you clarify your wants and needs:
What would you like to work on?
What is your desired outcome?
What are you prepared to do to achieve these goals?
Do you have any expectations about timelines?
What other support structures do you have in place?
